Kenji Reyes

Writer

Productivity writer. Slow-tech evangelist. From São Paulo with no urgency.

Kenji writes a long-running Substack on calm productivity from his flat in São Paulo. He's allergic to gurus and has tested almost every wellness app on the App Store. He writes here on what actually changes a day, and what is mostly aesthetic. The AYA Method survived his testing. Years of app testing gave him a reviewer's scar tissue: he has watched the same idea relaunch under forty names, and he can now predict from the onboarding screens whether a product respects the user's time or plans to colonize it. His essays apply that filter to daily practice. The test is always the same — strip the visual identity, mute the marketing, and see what behavior remains; most of the time what remains is a timer and a font. He writes about the survivors with real warmth, because they are rare and because calm, in his definition, is not an aesthetic but an outcome: fewer open loops at noon than at nine. The AYA Method made his kept list on those terms — the practice reduced to its behavior is a few minutes of personalized listening, which kept happening without being managed, which is his entire bar. His recurring theme is subtraction: the day is improved less by what you add than by what you stop rehearsing. The Substack remains slow on purpose. So does he.

Writes about: calm productivity, wellness apps, manifestation.
